Storyline:
A father on rent for 30 days! The idea sounds bizarre, but director Aleya Sen tries to make it look convincing on screen with Trial Period. However, it just isn’t enough. Starring Genelia Deshmukh, Manav Kaul and Zidane Braz, the film released on July 21 on JioCinema. A single mom, Ana, auditions men as she seeks a new ‘papa’ for her six-year-old son, Romi (Zidane). It all starts when Romi is unable to talk about his dad in the school assembly. The other kids bully him, leading him to believe that only a ‘superhero dad’ could save him now. After watching a teleshopping commercial, he is convinced that, like all other things, he can also hire a father for a trial period of 30 days.
Hence, Genelia’s Ana sets out in search of a dad. But, she has a plan. Ana wants the worst possible man so that her son can give up the thought of having a father. After most candidates give up on this bizarre idea, PD (Manav) reluctantly agrees. Contrary to the arrangement, PD and Romi get along well.
