Storyline:
The story revolves around Fathima (Kalyani Priyadarshan), a wide-eyed, bubbly aspiring football commentator whose biggest supporter, initially, is her brother, played by Aneesh. Her father (played by Sudeesh) is a former footballer. She grew up watching and understanding football and has a habit of chattering wherever she is.
Later, she decides to pursue a career as a football commentator and arrives in Kochi from Malappuram. What follows forms the crux of the film. The script falters after a point and her journey is something that has been seen in similar films before.
There is nothing very relatable about her ‘struggle’. In fact, at one point the character is written in such a way that she gets annoying. The journey seems very superficial and uses many elements that have been seen in poorly done sports movies featuring women characters before. Femina George’s character as the ‘friend’ or more like a sidekick, was fine. Shaheen Siddique’s role was that of a grumpy depressed football player facing a ban. He again, didn’t have much to do.
